Welcome to Baby Music Class created just for your baby and you! Learn to play musically with your baby as you sing, dance, explore instruments sized just right for baby's little hands, and play delightful wiggle and peek-a-boo games together. Your baby will soon be responding with the whole body, imitating sounds as you echo tonal and rhythm patterns and learning language through verse, poetry, and children's songs from around the world. You'll be delighted to see how your baby's curiosity about music blossoms and grows in just a few short weeks. You and your baby will cherish this special time together set apart just for you.

Your toddler is on the move, full of curiosity, joy, and love--always ready to explore. You're combing through all the classes, playgroup opportunities, and community events to satisfy your little one's needs and your desire to make new friends and find your community. In our Toddlers classes, you'll introduce your little one to the joy of music, make new friends, and find a warm and welcoming space to gather each week.
You'll love singing, dancing, moving, playing shakers, drums, jingles, rhythm sticks, and discovering new ways to play musically together. In a few short weeks' time, your toddler will be eager to echo new rhythm and tonal patterns, moving and dancing to his heart's delight, find a steady beat while playing small percussion instruments, and learning to quiet and regulate that little body at just the right time. Celebrate your preschooler's growing independence and love of nature through the changing seasons. Still eager to play the classroom instruments, your child is now old enough to begin to understand when and how to play them. Children begin to build ensembles with two or more parts being played at the same time while singing or trying out vocal compositions and chants.
Your young Music Maker will discover the sights and sounds of of orchestral instruments and nature through singing, movement, instrument play, listening, and ensemble work.
Through the work of patterns and song repertoire, combined with movement and sound, your child will begin to visualize the written language of music. Wait for those AHA! moments as they discover they can actually READ short snippets of music with UNDERSTANDING.
In Music Makers, your child will soon learn to trust in his own capacities as he begins to sing, move, create, and express himself musically. You'll see an increase in symbolic thinking, concentration, and memory over time contributing to your child's total development.
Parents, you'll feel so supported through our weekly Parent Time during the last 15 minutes of each class. It's the special part of class when children and their grown-ups share the joy of group music making. Spring 2027: Musikgarten's Music Makers African American Music & Culture & Germany--Land Of Composers

Music Makers will embark on a musical journey, starting from the enchanting folk tunes and tales of the British Isles. We'll dance to the rhythm of jigs, reels, and hornpipes, and even try our hands at creating our own melodies and serving high tea!
Next, we'll dive into the vibrant music and dances of the North American Indigenous Tribes. We'll learn about traditional tribal customs, instruments, song and dance and how they use music to tell stories and to celebrate their individual cultures.
Beginning in January, we'll groove to the rhythm of African American music. From soulful gospel songs to the energetic beats of the Carribean and steel drums, we'll explore how this rich musical tradition has shaped modern music.
Our adventure then takes us to to Germany, where we'll discover the beauty of classical music and many famous, beloved composers. We'll listen to lullabies and folk songs, and even get a taste of the famous Octoberfest music! Explorers will be introduced to the piano at the end of our journey.
In this class, we don't just listen to music--we live it! We'll sing, dance, play instruments, bring cultural stories to life through music, movement and drama. Students are introduced to traditional music notation through tonal and rhythm patterns and cards and ensembles. Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and let your voice soar in this musical adventure!

Required equipment: A digital keyboard with stand and bench or well-tuned acoustic piano and stackable footstools are required for home practice.

Welcome to Piano For Preschoolers! This special group program is filled with hands-on fun at the piano, group games and activities, singing, movement, and duet time. Your child will develop new music and piano skills in a warm and welcoming environment. You'll be delighted to see your child's new confidence while developing new skills to stimulate and support cognition, motor skills development, and self-expression through music.
Students will receive a personalized piano binder, piano book filled with rhythm rhymes, engaging activities to do at the piano, songs to play and delightful games to support their learning.

Fall 2026 lessons begin August 24.
Kids LOVE learning to play the piano in these fun lessons. Your child will be playing and singing songs from the very first lesson. Within a few short weeks students will begin to understand rhythm, melody, and harmony while learning solfege (do-re-mi) and the rhythm language of music. Within a few short months students are transposing songs (playing them in different keys,) writing their own short compositions, learning to improvise with melodies and rhythms, and finding their own ways to express themselves musically.
Parents LOVE watching their child grow musically and developmentallywith a new level of self-confidence.
Kids leave their weekly lesson already knowing how to play and practice their songs. Off bench time includes rhythm, melody, harmonization, improvisation and composition games and activities to develop aural skills, note-reading, and musicianship.
